Staff

Our Network School Staff:

 

Melissa Larson, lead teacher, is a well qualified, trained and experienced Special Educator.  She attended Texas A&M where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Educational Psychology.  Melissa is Texas Teacher Certified in 6 areas. She has several years of experience teaching in both public and private school in the area of Special Education.  Melissa also has extensive experience as a private Behavior Specialist.  She works one on one with children whose goals range from using assistive technology to compliance and self help skills.

 


Sabrina Sosa-Madrigali

OTR

Trained in neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) and sensory integration (SI) for infants and children.

Experience: Eighteen years of experience treating children in different hospitals, schools, and clinical settings. Work with children with neurological and genetic disorders. She is affiliated with Children’s Therapy Co-op.

 

Guadalupe Flores

Music therapist

Guadalupe is a Board Certified Neurologic Music Therapist. She is certified in and practices Neurologic Music Therapy, a research-based system of standardized techniques for motor, speech and language, and cognitive training.  She is affiliated with The Music Therapy Center of Houston, a non-profit organization serving the greater Houston area.  

 

Joshua Fleming

Art therapist

 Joshua is a graduate of University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting. While at school Josh placed in the top ten for Best Portfolio, a conglomeration of drawings and paintings, out of fifty applicants. His work has been featured in several shows in the Dallas area.

Experience: Working at Art Mix, a creative learning studio run by Georgetown graduate Jacqueline Kenneally. At Art Mix Josh instructs both classroom and private lessons. Also worked part-time at the ‘The Network School’ with special needs children. Josh believes that art therapy allows for uninhibited creativity and visual thinking that helps to stimulate all areas of the brain. Personal growth, both physically and emotionally, can be achieved through art therapy. Josh wishes to continue his education with a Master’s in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Art Therapy.
